Epoc Programming Samples

Those samples of Epoc programming were designed to show developers and non-developers how to easily program simple applications for Epoc / Symbian platforms, using various languages and technologies. Just like for programming samples presented in other sections of this site, we will mostly focus on high-level concepts and zoom in on more technical details whenever necessary. Again, each sample program comes with source code and explanations.

Requirements

In order to compile those samples, you will have to install the SDK and tools related to the language and technology used. More details are listed on each page.

In order to test those samples, you also need an EPOC emulator (there's one in the C++ SDK), or a real device.

You have to be familiar with several programming languages.
